STAY AT CENTRAL LONDON SERVICED APARTMENTS AND ENJOY A CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR

Walking north from the Presidential Serviced Apartments Marylebone or a short tube ride from Kensington Serviced Apartments is one of the loveliest of London’s Parks – Regents Park. The autumnal colours are always spectacular, as are the delights of London Zoo. Yet during October, spectacular art works supplant the traditional pleasures.

The Frieze Art Fair is now one of the world’s leading contemporary art fairs. This is the place to look for the latest in art, see what artists are doing and discover the latest trends.

You can spend all day here quite comfortably discovering the different types of art works on display.  Many leading galleries are taking part including The Box, The Laura Bartlett Gallery, Galeria Elba Benitez, Blum & Poe, Marc Foxx, Foksal Gallery Foundation, Taka Ishii, Casey Kaplan, White Cube and the Frith Street Gallery.

Participating artists are guaranteed to amaze and challenge perceptions.  Walk into Tobias Madison’s work and find your movements being translated into light.  Or you can follow Sophia Al Maria’s routes across the Fair and try to work out the potential conspiracies that exist.

The temptation to buy is irresistible and if you feel inclined, remember that you can always take your purchases back to your Aparthotel as it is only a short walk or tube hop away.

Fancy some music? Sit back and enjoy Frieze Sounds. This has been curated and programmed by leading artist Cecilia Alemani and presented with the aid of BMW. There are three specially commissioned audio works to enjoy via listening stations in the fair as well as via VIP cars!

And it is not just music and art that is on offer. There are numerous lectures and talks which will enlighten and enthuse.  Action Sculptor Bruce McLean will interview himself, while artist AA Bronson meets up with Helen Molesworth, the newly appointed Chief Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Another unmissable talk is that of Charles Atlas with Wu Tsang; looking at a combination of film and underground art.

Explore, enthuse, enjoy. The Frieze Art Fair offers something for everyone. It is challenging, and is guaranteed to make you think.  When it all becomes too much and a break is needed, enjoy a stroll round Regents Park and back to your London serviced apartment.
